Names
Which JoyBox is which?
The JoyBox that makes custom songs is joybox.com, also reached at joybox.studio and run by S1 Media Ventures LLC; it is not JoyBox Studio Limited, the games company (6 November 2026).
- JoyBox (joybox.com, joybox.studio): Custom song gifts made with AI, run by S1 Media Ventures LLC. This page is about it.
- JoyBox Studio Limited (joyboxstudio.com): A games developer; its App Store listing sells a game called “Cash Beach - Real Cash Game”. Some search results for “JoyBox Studio”, such as its App Store developer page, are about that company.
- Joybox: Positive Social Media (joyboxapp.com): A family social app by Chain Reaction Games LLC.
- Other “JoyBox” apps: Other App Store apps use the JoyBox name too.
Song Tailor (songtailor.co) is not connected to any of them. For every song service side by side, see the six checks for choosing a custom song service.
How it's made
Is JoyBox Studio an AI song maker?
Yes: JoyBox Studio's terms say “joybox uses artificial intelligence to write lyrics, create music, and create card art”, and its custom-songs page calls it “an AI song generator made for gifts” (6 November 2026).
Its privacy policy names OpenAI for the lyrics, Suno for the music with Google Lyria as a backup, and ElevenLabs for voice and audio. Its terms add that “AI output can contain mistakes, such as a wrong word or a name sung incorrectly”, and ask you to check the song before you send it.
Song Tailor also uses AI tools for the lyrics, music and vocals from your story. You approve the lyric before the song is made, and on Premium Keepsake and Event Grade a human producer reviews the song for tone, names and clarity right after delivery. AI song generator vs custom song.
